Amazon Marketplace Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 22 July 2026 · Effective date: 2 July 2026

These terms describe how Opsell AI connects to Amazon, what data it accesses through the Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API) — including Amazon Brand Analytics — and the limits we place on ourselves in handling that data. They supplement our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, which continue to apply in full.

Opsell is an independent software provider. Opsell is notaffiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or an agent of Amazon.com, Inc. or any of its affiliates. "Amazon", "Amazon Seller Central", "Amazon Brand Analytics", "A9" and "Rufus" are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates, used here for identification only.

1. Scope

These terms apply when you connect an Amazon selling account to Opsell through the Connection Hub and use Amazon data inside Opsell — principally in Listing Intelligence.

Opsell currently supports the Amazon India marketplace (marketplace ID A21TJRUUN4KGV). Other marketplaces are not supported today.

2. Connecting your Amazon account

Connecting is done by you, from inside your authenticated Opsell workspace, in the Connection Hub. You connect, re-sync, and disconnect there at any time. Authorization is per selling account, and data pulled under that authorization is stored against that account only.

What we ask you for

To call SP-API on your behalf we require your Amazon seller ID, the target marketplace ID, and Login with Amazon application credentials.

What we never ask for

We never ask for your Amazon username, your password, your one-time passcodes, or access to your email. Anyone requesting those while claiming to be Opsell is not us — report it to support@opsell.ai.

How credentials are held

Credentials are transmitted over TLS, held encrypted at rest in a managed secrets store, never written to logs, and never returned to the browser after submission. They are used solely to authenticate API calls for your own account.

Disconnecting

Select Disconnectin the Connection Hub, or revoke Opsell's authorization in Seller Central. On revocation we stop all API calls for that account immediately and delete the stored credentials. Amazon data already retrieved — including any Brand Analytics data — is deleted within [RETENTION WINDOW, e.g. 30 days], as described in our Privacy Policy.

Your responsibility

You confirm you are authorized to grant this access for the selling account concerned, and that doing so does not breach your own agreements with Amazon.

3. What Opsell does with Amazon data

Amazon data is used to operate your account and improve your listings. That is the whole of it.

Catalog sync

We read your product catalog — ASINs, titles, bullets, descriptions, attributes, images, category assignment, and pricing — so your listings appear in Opsell and can be edited and republished from one place.

Listing Intelligence

Each of your listings is scored, and the score is broken into two components:

  • A9 Compliance— how well your listing is structured for Amazon's search algorithm. Measured across title keyword usage, title structure, bullet compliance and quality, backend keywords, browse-node and category depth, attribute completeness, and content richness.
  • AI Shopper Readiness— how well your listing answers the questions a shopper asks a conversational shopping assistant, including the assistant built into Amazon's own storefront. Measured across buyer-question coverage, intent coverage, use-case specificity, objection handling, persona clarity, FAQ readiness, semantic depth, structured knowledge, and tone and readability.

Each dimension produces a score, a list of flags, and a ranked set of priority fixes — each naming the issue, the dimension it affects, a suggested fix, and the points recoverable. The Optimiser turns those into draft listing copy with a predicted score change, which you review before anything is published. Nothing is written back to Amazon without your action.

Publishing

When you approve a change, Opsell writes it to your own listings through SP-API, and reports success or failure back to you.

4. Brand Analytics

This section applies to registered Amazon brand owners who have granted Opsell the Brand Analytics role and want their own Brand Analytics reporting applied automatically to their own listings, instead of exported to a spreadsheet and worked by hand.

Where you have granted that role, Opsell reads your brand's own Brand Analytics reports and turns them into specific, reviewable actions on your own listings inside Listing Intelligence:

Search Query Performance

Opsell reads your own Search Query Performance report to find search terms where your own ASINs receive impressions but under-convert. The platform then proposes concrete edits to those same ASINs: search-term coverage in the listing's backend keywords, title and bullet rewrites that surface the missing term, and A+ / image changes where the term implies an attribute the listing doesn't show. Every suggestion is attached to one of your own ASINs and is reviewable before it is published.

Market Basket Analysis

Opsell reads which of your own products are bought together in the same basket, and recommends bundles, virtual kits, and cross-sell placements built from your own catalog — to raise your average order value.

Repeat Purchase Behaviour

Opsell uses repeat-purchase data on your own ASINs to identify products with replenishment patterns, and flags them as candidates for Subscribe & Save positioning and pack-size changes in your own catalog.

Brand Analytics data is used onlyto operate the account that granted access. It is never pooled with other sellers' data, never used to build market reports, and never shown to anyone outside your own authenticated Opsell workspace.

5. Our commitments under the Amazon Acceptable Use Policy

This section states our compliance with sections 4.4 and 4.5 of the Amazon Acceptable Use Policy.

  • No cross-seller aggregation. Data obtained through SP-API, including Brand Analytics data, is stored and processed per selling account. We do not combine data from more than one seller for any purpose, including benchmarking, modelling, or training.
  • No market or category reports. We do not produce, sell, publish, or share category trend reports, share-of-search reports, keyword databases, bestseller intelligence, or any comparable product derived from Amazon Information.
  • No publishing insights about Amazon. We do not publish, present, or disclose insights about Amazon's business, operations, or performance to any third party.
  • No sale or onward transfer. Amazon Information is never sold, licensed, syndicated, or transferred to a third party, and is never used for advertising or audience-building outside your own account.
  • No competing retail activity. Opsell does not sell on Amazon and does not use seller data to compete with the sellers it serves.

On benchmarking. Where Opsell shows how your listing compares against other listings in your category, that comparison is built onlyfrom listing content that any shopper can see on a public Amazon product page — title length, bullet count, image count, listed price, visible attributes. It is never built from Selling Partner API data, never from Brand Analytics, and never from another Opsell customer's account. The output is always an instruction to improve your own listing, never a report about anyone else.

6. Security

  • All traffic served over HTTPS with a valid TLS certificate. Amazon Information is encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Role-based, least-privilege access to production data. SP-API access and the actions taken against your account are audit-logged and reviewed.
  • Credentials and API tokens held in a managed secrets store, never in source control.
  • Security incidents affecting Amazon Information are reported to Amazon within 24 hours of discovery, per the Amazon Data Protection Policy.
  • Retention, deletion, and incident response are described in full in our Privacy Policy.

7. Availability and accuracy

Amazon controls its own APIs. Rate limits, outages, schema changes, and deprecations are outside our control and may delay or block sync and publishing. Scores, projections, and suggested fixes are decision-support estimates, not guarantees of ranking, traffic, conversion, or revenue. You remain responsible for reviewing changes before they are published and for the accuracy and legality of your listings.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified on this page and by email to connected accounts. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
